Appeared in issue 114, issue 116 - issue 124, issue 126 - issue 131, issue 132, issue 136, issue 218 - issue 228, and issue 243. Mentioned in issue 75.

Was once married to Jaka Tavers, but when he found out that Jaka aborted what would have been their male child, Rick smacked Jaka. Mrs Thatcher had his finger broken as punishment and Jaka was sent away.

We next see him with Cerebus in Cerebus' bar at the Wall of T'si. Rick sees Mrs Thatcher and goes into a panic. When Cerebus orders Mrs Thatcher out of the bar, Rick becomes a devotee of Cerebus. He starts to write The Book of Rick in which Cerebus is seen as a prophet.

Rick falls in love with Joanne, and the triangle between him, Joanne and Cerebus causes some strife between the trio. Rick breaks up with Joanne and ends his friendship with Cerebus, putting a Binding spell on Cerebus. Rick tells Cerebus he will see him one last time.

Cerebus briefly sees Rick on the river bank baptizing men when Cerebus is Going Home.
